I’ve been a fan of Klaus Nomi for, well, a really long time. But for a kid in Georgia in the 1980’s there certainly wasn’t much information, or music, to be found outside of getting a grainy VHS dub of Urgh! A Music War or snatching up some blessed LPs by driving down to Atlanta. In November of 2008 an album, Za Bakdaz, compiling the skeleton of Nomi’s unfinished opera was released. You can read my painfully short (owing to the limits of print media) review of it here.
